Sturry CE Primary School have a truly fantastic opportunity for an Office Manager.

The successful applicant will be experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking. They will be the face of Sturry Church of England Primary School and ensure a welcoming, professional reception to all children, parents, carers, staff and visitors. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Candidates will need to be positive, highly confidential with all matters, have a professional attitude, be well organised, highly flexible and have excellent inter-personal skills. They will be the first point of call for all visitors to the school office as well as for any incoming calls. They will also be responsible for supporting the administration associated with school admissions, attendance and some data management.

We wish to appoint someone who has:

  • Experience of working within an office environment, preferably a school setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A friendly, flexible and professional approach, particularly when multi-tasking under pressure.
  • A good working knowledge of office management systems such as Microsoft Word/Excel
  • A working knowledge of SIMS is a significant advantage, although training and support will be provided to the suitable candidate.
  • The ability to prioritise workload to ensure office systems operate efficiently for the smooth running of the school.
  • You will have a positive approach to working with children and a commitment to our safeguarding procedures.
