We are looking to recruit new members to our Teaching Assistant Team at Woodlands Primary School in Tonbridge.

Full time: Contracted 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm. Half hour lunch break and daily half hour lunch duty.

Part time: Contracted either 19.5 hours per week Monday to Wednesday 8:30am to 3:30pm or 13 hours per week Thursday and Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm. Both roles half hour lunch break and daily half hour lunch duty.

Initially the roles will be linked to the Y5 or Y6 team.

Please state clearly on your application which of the above you are applying for.

The role will entail working with individuals and small groups in order to ensure that children have effective support to learn well and make good progress. We use a variety of support programmes within the school (for example Read Write Inc. and Lexia) and training will be provided to the successful candidate. The role includes daily lunchtime supervision.

Relevant experience of working within a school would be helpful although a positive can-do attitude and the ability to work well as a member of a team are equally important. We do expect candidates to have good levels of literacy and numeracy.  The successful candidate will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS check.
