We are looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join our happy and motivated middle school Team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Shows empathy to the range of our children’s need
  • Has previous experience of working within a primary school setting

The successful candidate will be working alongside the Class Teacher to assist and support in class.

The minimum requirement for this position is an appropriate Level 2/3 qualification: (eg; Level 2/3 CACHE; Level 2/3 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning; Level 2/3 Support Work in Schools (SWiS).

Candidates must be able to demonstrate competency linked to National Occupational Standards, and evidence a high standard of literacy and numeracy (i.e. GCSE Grade C or above) in order to undertake essential record keeping.

Kingsnorth CE Primary School is an exciting and vibrant place to learn and develop. We were judged as outstanding in our SIAMS. In our most recent OFSTED as a ‘Good School’.

We are also one of 34 English Hub school’s across the country. We are an active and leading school within Aquila (The Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust - www.diocant-aquila.org.) We work in strong partnership with other schools across Ashford, South Kent and beyond, providing support and learning opportunities for our staff.

We have also recently been awarded the role of Associate Research School in Kent, supporting schools in the area.

We are situated next to the church in the heart of Kingsnorth village, south of Ashford. We are a large 2 form entry school with 420 children on roll. We have strong links with the local Church and Community. Our supportive Governing Body and active PFA play key roles in school life.
