The Viking Academy Trust is looking to appoint a CARETAKER to join our Viking Premises Team from September 2019.  The base school will be Upton Junior School but this will change in accordance with the needs of the Trust.

It’s all about making sure we're safe and secure, with everything working correctly and efficiently as well as keeping the schools within the Trust looking smart. Duties will include general maintenance of the school premises; out of hours opening for lettings; ensuring the security of the school, regular health and safety checks and general janitorial duties.

The successful candidate will take pride in ensuring the school is clean, tidy and a safe environment for our children and staff. They will need to be competent at DIY tasks and be able to work both on their own initiative and under the guidance of others.

We have a minibuses that are in constant use so having a D1 on your licence is essential as well as some experience of driving minibuses.

The post is for 37 hours a week. Working hours will be discussed at interview however applicants must be aware that flexibility and willingness to work outside of 9-5 pattern will be essential.

The contract is for 52 weeks a year and pay will be on Kent Range 3 (£17,365 per annum).
