We are looking for an enthusiastic and imaginative Drama or Performing Arts Teacher. Whether you are newly qualified or have more experience we would like to hear from you.  With your ability to teach drama and theatre studies to GCSE and ‘A’ level you will

have passion, determination and high standards at all levels as well as the ability to lead small extra-curricular groups.  

Giving students the opportunity to develop their creative skills is critical to this role along with a pro-active approach in encouraging young people to engage in Performing Arts.

Working within our Arts College you will deliver creative and engaging lessons to our students to inspire them and progress their learning and academic achievement.

Information about the school

Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2000 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools and nurseries serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside. Home Farm Nursery is based in the grounds of Homewood School.

Homewood has excellent facilities for all its students and our specialisms in Performing Arts, Applied Learning and the Rural Dimension underpin our approaches to learning which are designed to raise achievement across the whole student body. We aim to maintain and develop the cultural aspirations of the school community in line with our priorities of “belonging” and “respect” and offer a broad range of curriculum opportunities in all subject areas. This also extends into the local community through partnerships across primary, secondary and higher education sectors as well as non-educational community partners.
