OUR HEXTABLE SITE IS NOW RECRUITING A FULL TIME SENIOR KEYWORKER

Broomhill Bank School has a residential satellite provision in Hextable and we are looking to recruit a Senior Keyworker to join us in this exciting venture!

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people to work as our Senior Keyworker within the residential unit at this thriving, expanding and innovative co-educational Special School.

We are looking for someone interested in supporting the development of an inclusive 24 hour Curriculum supporting the work of the care team and teachers in order to facilitate outstanding learning for students.

As a Senior Keyworker, you will be working a shift pattern from Monday to Friday and there is no weekend or bank holiday working required. 

The successful applicant will be someone who has the personality and skills to facilitate high quality independent learning for Broomhill Bank students, in a community where we expect staff to be lifelong learners via ongoing support and training. Due to the success of the department, there is ongoing opportunity for career progression.

You need to be organised and flexible, self-motivated & resourceful, efficient yet personable. You will be able to work with students with learning and communication difficulties and put their learning and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. 

The post is at Hextable and there will be occasions when you may be required to work at the Tunbridge Wells site.

Information about the school

Broomhill Bank School is a co-educational Foundation Special School for students with Communication and Interaction needs who all have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Our educational provision is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and our residential provision is rated ‘Outstanding’. We work to prepare our students for life, through academic achievement, therapeutic provision to ensure their well-being and by being part of the wider community.

There are two sites. Broomhill Bank West is in Rusthall near Tunbridge Wells. Broomhill Bank North is in Hextable near Swanley. Our North site has bespoke residential provision and semi-independent living accommodation.

Students are taught in small classes of 8-10 according to level of need, with lessons led by subject specialist teachers. We facilitate students to learn as independently as possible. Across Key Stage 4 and 5 students can undertake a variety of accredited qualifications including GCSE, Entry Level and Functional Skills. Our Sixth Form focuses students on preparation for life so that alongside academic achievement they can develop the life and work-related skills which will be vital to their future independence and self-sufficiency.
