We are looking for a dedicated individual to work on a 1:1 bases with a motivated, fun loving child in KS1. In order to fill this unique role you need to demonstrate your flexibility. Experience of working with children with special educational needs will be advantageous. The successful candidate needs to show enthusiasm for the role, as well as being patient and prove they have the skills to help this child to feel comfortable at school, as well as enabling them to fulfil their potential. We require someone who works well within a team and who can act on their own initiative to support the individual physical and care needs of this child. A current Paediatric First Aid certificate would be desirable but not essential.
The position is for 35 hours per week, term time only this will include covering lunch times for 30 minutes. Pay will be on a pro rata bases. Ideally we would like the candidate to be able to start as soon as possible.

Information about the school
Wickhambreaux CE Primary School (134 on roll) is situated in the pretty village of Wickhambreaux. There has been a school on site since the 18 hundreds. Since 2015 the school has obtained two outstanding OFSTED Inspections and an outstanding Church of England inspection (Diocese of Canterbury) in 2018. The school enjoys strong parent and community links and has a wide stimulating curriculum including foreign languages, music and science. In 2018 we were made a Beacon School for our science programme (Empiribox).
The staff at the school work hard to ensure that the children in the school make great progress but also that the children always have something on the horizon to look forward to; they are committed to developing a passion for learning in every child who attends the school, providing them with “A memorable childhood”.

Wickhambreaux CEP School is a small rural, village school south of Canterbury. We currently have 113 children on roll divided into 5 classes.
