A great opportunity has arisen for an English teacher to join our school.  We require a teacher who can continue to challenge our more able pupils who are accessing the GCSE’s in English Language and Literature.  If you are an outstanding teacher with a strong belief in the potential of all learners and the opportunity to make a difference, look no further.

The school offers comprehensive training in ASC, exceptional CPD support and development opportunities as well as a wellbeing day to be taken in term time.  You do not require SEN or Autism experience, many of our teachers have transitioned from mainstream settings.

The school offers a strong collaboration and outreach support from Grange Park school which is an autism specific provision for 11-19 year olds and has been accredited for over 10 years by the National Autistic Society (NAS). Grange Park school is currently judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, the school is very well placed to becoming Outstanding and is over subscribed.

We also offer more than the minimum 10% PPA. The school is part of a co-operative of 24 schools which provides greater opportunities and access to further career development.

Class sizes are small and have full time teaching assistants supporting classes to ensure pupils enjoy personalised learning.  The English department is supported by an English specialist TA and you will be supported by an experienced colleague.

Pupils are keen and highly motivated; they want to learn.

Our School

Grange Park School is an autism specific provision for children aged 11 to 19 located in a purpose built school in Wrotham and for children aged 8-11 located in Stansted village 3 miles from the main school site. The school also operates a post16 provision in partnership with a local college in Maidstone and Medway. All of our pupils have educational heath care plans.

All of our pupils are expected to sit GCSE’s and transition into adulthood with the skills to be successful. Class sizes at the Stansted and Wrotham sites are between 11-13 pupils with a teacher and 1-2 learning mentors. At the partnership college, learning mentors are supporting individual students or small groups of students aged 16-19 years in the college tutor groups / classrooms and out in the community.

Currently judged as “good” by Ofsted. We are committed to providing our pupils with the best possible learning opportunities and supporting them in their development.
