We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teacher Assistant within our school for KS1/KS2.

The contract is due to start as soon as possible, although there may be possibilities for a May start for the right candidate.  You will be required to work 34 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm Wednesday 8.30am – 5pm.  We are a growing school looking for additional staff and some maternity cover.

  • Have high expectations of what pupils can achieve and successful behaviour management skills.
  • Demonstrate outstanding creativity and a proactive approach to supporting in class.
  • Be a fun and lively character who develops good relationships with all children.
  • Work effectively within a diverse team and to engage with the friends and families of DBCPS.
  • Versatile and confident working with different year groups with an expectation to help cover classes and lessons on occasion.


The successful candidate will support the class teacher in:

  • Providing stimulating, engaging activities suitable to the primary age range.
  • Keeping records and providing pupils with feedback to inform and support subsequent provision.
  • Working in close partnership with parents /carers to improve pupil outcomes.
  • Meeting the physical, social and emotional needs of the children.
  • Assessing children's learning with reference to relevant National curriculum and school assessment documents.
