Senior Cleaner

Required as soon as possible

Temporary Contract until 31st August 2019

Band 3 £17,497, (£13,059.76 pro rata),  per annum

30 hours per week (to be worked between 12:45-19:15, Monday-Friday, this includes a 30 minute unpaid break).  Term Time plus 5 staff development days plus four additional weeks.

 

The Whitstable School is looking to recruit a temporary Senior Cleaner, this is an opportunity to be part of a small, friendly cleaning team who play a key role within the school.

The aim of the role is to provide a good cleaning service that is responsive to the needs of the school, resulting in a clean and healthy environment for pupils and staff. The Senior Cleaner will assist the site manager and supervise a small team of cleaners, checking work is carried out to a high standard ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.

Duties include all aspects of cleaning within a school including the daily cleaning of classrooms, office and washroom areas, ensuring the team have adequate cleaning supplies and overseeing the team’s work.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A good time-keeper
  • Personable
  • Have some previous experience of cleaning and supervising cleaners, preferably in a school (training will be provided)
