Excellent opportunity for an immediate start.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and efficient Receptionist to be the positive and welcoming face of our school.  The role involves a number of responsibilities, including welcoming parents and visitors to the school and ensuring that they signed in and out of school, liaising with parents; answering the telephone and using your discretion to filter and re-direct calls where appropriate; taking messages and enquiries and ensuring that they are passed on to the relevant member of staff; distributing the post; dealing with first aid; monitoring our attendance registers, dealing with pupils who are late for school and calling home, emailing or texting using the school’s automated text message system when reasons for absence have not been received and liaising with our attendance service.

For these duties, you will be responsible to the School Business Manager who will oversee and direct your daily work.

The school uses SIMS, a school information management system, and you will be responsible for the accuracy of information held on the system.  While experience of using SIMS would be an advantage, the ability to learn how to use the system is more important, as full training and support will be given.  For this reason, you should feel confident in the general use of computers and will know how to use typical office software such as Word and Excel.
