If this sounds like you, then look no further!  We are seeking to appoint an experienced or newly qualified teacher to cover maternity leave in a Key Stage 2 class.

YOu will join a team of dynamic and professional practitioners, working to foster our pupils' independence, thinking skills and encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning. 

As a teacher you will:

  • Take responsibility for teaching a class and adhere to high expectations of pupils in order to build successful relationships, centred on teaching and learning.
  • Set challenging teaching and learning objectives, relevant to all pupils in their classes, planning lessons and sequences of lessons to ensure good progress for all children.
  • Make appropriate use of the school's monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils' progress towards planned learning objectives  

Wr are friendly, supportive and keen to capitalise on your strengths.  The successful applicant will be a good classroom practitioner with high expectation, supportive of our Catholic ethos and a strong team player, keen to make a difference for children.  You will need to be a fun loving individual, who is extremely well organised, flexible and a great team player.  Whether you are experienced or newly qualified, you'll share our commitment to develop the skills and talents of each child.  The ideal candidate will foster children's independence and thinking skills, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning.

You will need to be available to teach and be interviewed at our school on Tuesday, May 7th.

St. Teresa's Catholic Primary School is a single form entry school, based in Ashford, Kent. The school is set in beautiful eco-friendly grounds that are used effectively to support learning.

OFSTED and our Denominational Inspections (2020) both state that St. Teresa's is a good school.
