An exciting opportunity has arisen for an efficient and professional Personal Assistant to provide administrative and organisational support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in order to assist in the smooth operation of the school.

As a Personal Assistant to the Headteacher you will:  

  • Act as a first point of contract within the school for staff, governors, local authority officers, parents and others seeking contact with the Headteacher and senior leadership team (SLT), ensuring visitors and callers receive a professional welcome.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Headteacher and SLT including drafting papers, reports, presentations, research and collating information, including filing and photocopying.
  • Organise and support meetings, preparing agendas and minutes as required and ensuring that matters arising from meetings are dealt with by the appropriate people with agreed timescales.

To be a successful Personal Assistant you will:

  • the equivalent with experience of undertaking administrative duties at a senior level.
  • Have experience of providing high levels of customer service, liaising and building relationships with a wide range of individuals.
  • The ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, using your initiative to problem solve and respond proactively to unexpected situations.

The contract is for 40 hours per week and flexibility is required to ensure you are able support the Headteacher and SLT between the hours of 9am and 6pm, Monday to Friday during term time.  Additional hours beyond the working day may be required as workloads and circumstances dictate 

The full time equivalent (FTE) salary for the role is £19,523 - £21,473 (KR5), with the pro-rata salary range of £16,261 - £17,885. You will be required to work 39 weeks per year and be entitled to 24 days paid annual leave,which is taken during the school holiday periods.
