We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed cleaner to join Minterne Junior School in Sittingbourne, Kent. The successful applicant will be responsible for cleaning all internal areas of the school to ensure it is kept in a pleasant, hygienic and safe condition.

Applicants should have experience of cleaning to a high standard and be confident in the use of relevant cleaning equipment. Applicants should be reliable and trustworthy with a flexible and willing approach, able to work within set routines and establish positive working relationships.

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. An understanding of health and safety in relation to this role would be beneficial.

The vacancy is initially to cover maternity leave. The position is for 12.5 hours per week (3.30-6.00pm) daily during term time plus additional specialised deep cleaning programs during school closures (43 weeks). Leave can only be taken during school holidays. The salary for this post will be paid pro rata on Kent Range 2 (FTE £15627).
