Be remarkable at Bexleyheath Academy.

Our academy is on the cusp of monumental change.  With a new vision in place, we are entering 2019 with a strategy to change the culture of the school and the environment in which our young people learn.

We have a new Vice Principal  who has a key focus for pastoral care who has been set clear targets to improve behavior and attendance and the  Principal and Executive Principal will have the unwavering support of our Executive Team and Education Team to make those changes to teaching and learning that we need to make in order to turn our academy around.  This is not a challenge for the faint of heart.  We are looking for someone who is ready to be bold and brave, to lead colleagues by example and to deliver dynamic lessons within the Mathematics department.

We recognise that our staff are our biggest asset and we invest in them.

So how will we look after you?  We offer you...

  • A school with excellent, modern facilities that are kept clean and safe, including 7 football fields and 5 tennis courts
  • Your own classroom with interactive whiteboard
  • A Teacher's Pension and access to CPD courses
  • A competitive salary
  • Every opportunity to learn, grow and network within the academy and the trust (including subsidised Master's programs, NPQML, NPQSL, NPQEL etc); we always look to promote from within
  • Friendly, happy colleagues who will welcome you with open arms
  • Eager students who want to learn and supportive parents
  • Something we take very seriously is staff WELLBEING. That's why we have partnered up with BHSF to provide support and employee benefits, such as a health cash plan scheme to support healthcare, discounted gym membership and a employee assistance programme
  • Free staff parking
  • The opportunity to use Google Suite, which allows you to do your best work, all in one suite
  • Support to make bold choices in your teaching career

We also offer the unique benefit of being part of the UK's largest multi-academy trust.  We are pushing to turn our academy around to become the best academy within the trust but we cannot do this without your help!

At Bexleyheath Academy, we want to show you in person what we can offer.  From 9.00am - 10.00am every Tuesday, the Senior Leadership team will be delighted to give you a tour of the school.

Information about the school

Bexleyheath Academy is proud to be a non-selective school in the grammar heartland of Kent. Bexleyheath Academy is quickly approaching capacity with students; in order to accommodate the demands of the local community and grow our skilled staff, we must expand.

Joining a flourishing school at this time is an amazing opportunity!

With immediate train access to Central London and easy access to the Kent countryside, Bexleyheath has the best of both worlds. Despite having a Kent postcode, Bexleyheath is classified as Greater London due to its strategic location between Welling, Sidcup, and Bexley village. You can reach Dartford for the river crossing with a short drive along the A2.

Its thriving hub is The Broadway – a shopping district with added appeal in the shape of a bowling alley, cinema and a growing number of restaurants. A little beyond Bexleyheath and you’re at Bluewater, Ashford for the designer outlet and international rail travel to Europe.
