Advert

The Federation of The Downs and Northbourne CEP are looking to appoint a part time maternity cover pupil premium champion to join our team at The Downs CEP from February/March 2019 (term four).

Are you an effective practitioner with a passion for creating inspiring learning opportunities?

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career further by joining our team of dedicated staff who work hard to ensure that every child is supported and challenged to aspire to be the best they can be. We pride ourselves on the nurturing atmosphere and Christian ethos that is experienced by everyone who works in, or visits our school.

We operate across the school in three teams: lower (R and 1), middle (2, 3 and 4) and upper (5 and 6). The pupil premium champion works with upper school across both years 5 and 6, taking groups of children in order to accelerate progress towards expected or greater depth. This position is for three days a week (currently Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday but this is negotiable). Occasionally class cover may be required.

As an experienced teacher, you will be able to access professional development to meet your professional needs and continue to develop your practice.

If you are an aspiring leader, we will support you in your development. We are committed to identifying potential and talent and growing future leaders!

Information about the school

About us:

The Downs CEP School is located in Kent in the UK. We have wonderful children and a fantastic team of staff who all work together to try and make learning fun!

We are very lucky to have lots of fantastic facilities for our children, including a large field with some great playing equipment, a wonderful library which is jam-packed with books for everyone to enjoy.

Vision Statement:

The Downs CEP School has great aspirations and a strong Christian ethos. Our children learn to show respect for others and the world god created.

Our vision for The Downs CEP School is to put God and Family at the heart of all we do. As a nurturing community, we use the parable of The Mustard Seed “…if you have faith as small as a mustard seed…nothing will be impossible.” (Matthew: 17 v20). This guides the way we value and treat all members of our school community. Through our pastoral care and our rich curriculum experiences we provide a safe and dynamic learning environment in which all can flourish.

Our six Christian Values are at the heart of our vision. Every day we aspire to grow in Faith, Love, Compassion, Kindness, Respect and Forgiveness, so that our school family may experience the joy and hope of “life in all its fullness” (John: 10 v10).
