A chance to take on a headship within a 'Good' and progressing federation, with support and challenge of an experienced executive headteacher.

The KULB federation was formed in April 2017 following three years of collaboration, to provide strong leadership and drive school improvement across three small village schools.

We are seeking to appoint a head of schools who will work closely with our Executive Headteacher and other head of schools to provide leadership across the three schools within the KULB Federation. The three schools have all been rated good following significant improvement journeys.

We aim to provide an education that ensures children make excellent progress in environments where they are valued; are known as individuals; and are taught that ‘To try is to achieve’. The values that lie at the centre of the federation are enjoyment, respect, success, honesty, fairness and of course team work!

The role of Head of Schools is one of leadership and management across the three schools. The successful candidate will understand what it takes to be a good/outstanding school and have successful experience of driving change at a pace. You will be a good/outstanding teacher who has enjoyed significant whole school responsibility. You will be successful in securing the highest standards of teaching and learning, implementing new systems, improving the use of data, building teams, developing staff and strengthening accountability. The ability to work collaboratively, ensure consistency and to uphold the vision of the Executive Headteacher is essential.

Specific responsibilities will be given dependent on the skills and experience of the candidates appointed, but they are likely to cover development of teaching and learning, assessment, behaviour and safety, and day to day management in at least one of the schools in the KULB Federation.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
