Job Position: NVQ Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Contract Type: Part Time

Hours: Monday – Wednesday (8:45am-3.15pm)

Start Date: February 2018

We are a small committee run Pre-School dedicated to supporting young children prepare for their first years of primary school. St Lawrence Pre-School is set in Stone Street, Seal within the picturesque outskirts of Sevenoaks. We operate at a higher than average child to carer ratio and as a result offer an enhanced level of care and attention to our children.

We recently received a Good Grading in all areas from Ofsted in December 2017.

This is a rare opportunity to join a small, dedicated, experienced team working on a part time basis. In exchange, we are looking to recruit a strong and experienced Qualified Level 3 Early Year Practitioner for a Part Time position.

Essential Requirements:

• A relevant childcare qualification—NNEB, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare.
• Current enhanced DBS
• Passion and enthusiasm for children and childcare.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience of the EYFS.
• Knowledge of child development and age appropriate activities.
• Good communication skills both orally and written.
• Excellent organisational skills.

Some of your Daily duties when working within the Pre-School will include:

• Taking care of key children.
• Setting up, planning and performing activities.
• Performing observations on key children and analysing their development.
• Liaising with senior members of staff in the nursery.
• Having to perform risk assessments on equipment and the areas within the nursery to ensure maximum safety.
