We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding team. We currently have a position for a TA to support children’s phonics and reading across the whole school, working with children from Reception through to Year 6.

This is a temporary term time only position. This temporary position is until July 20th 2023.The working hours will be between 9:00- 15:05 on Mondays and 9:00 – 12:15 on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays.


We are a lively and vibrant staff and are looking for someone to join our driven and talented team. You should have a very good standard of English and be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude and good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. Good time management and the ability to work with your own initiative are essential.

 
Experience with working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children is essential.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Teaching groups of children and individuals and helping them in achieving the lesson learning intentions in English – Phonics and Reading
  • Feeding back to the class teacher, keeping records of progress and behaviour.
  • Planning (with guidance from the teacher) and teaching small groups and individual children English Phonics and Reading l
  • Communicating with parents.
  • Preparing resources and some administrative work.

It is desirable but not essential that applicants hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification or be on the pathway to completing a similar qualification.
