Are you already an EYFS Leader or someone who has been teaching in EYFS for a while (understands the new EYFS framework, RBA - Reception Baseline Assessment and the Ofsted requirements) and is looking for a new challenge at a new school. Come join us... we are a supportive team who is committed to the children and staff who attend our school!   We want the best for all the children who attend Barming Primary School - using a holistic approach.

We are a school that prides itself on trying to manage the work-life balance for staff... yes, there are times when there is a lot to be done, but this is balanced by not working all INSET days as we have extended our staff meetings slightly, giving over staff meeting time to the completion of tasks or even having the occassional well-being staff meeting which you can use as you please!   Education is a vocation to many of us, we know it is tough and sometimes we are faced with challenging odds.   However, our Leaders have a day out of class per week, alternating between PPA release time and Management time!   There are lots of other things, so if you want to find out more, please come for a visit and meet the team!

We are looking for someone to lead our EYFS and work alongside our current Pre-School Manager. We are offering UPS and a TLR!

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team.   We are looking for someone with a positive growth mind set and a drive and passion for education; where fun, enjoyment and quality first teaching is at the heart of all lessons.

We can offer you:

  • A commitment to CPD
  • A commitment to your well-being and managing a realistic workload
  • A supportive, friendly and welcoming staff
  • Well behaved and motivated children

If you:

  • Love teaching and have a drive to help all children achieve;
  • Have a growth mind set and strong subject knowledge;
  • Think outside of the box and create fun and enjoyable lessons;
  • Believe in utilising outside spaces, including meaningful school trips to enhance learning experiences;
  • Are ready to join a supportive team of Senior Leaders, Teachers and Teaching Assistants, who care about well-being (work hard in order to play hard!!);
  • Whole heartedly believe in a collaborative approach to education and love to work as part of a team;
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding children and keeping them safe in education;
  • Are a good/outstanding teacher.

Then we would welcome an application from you!

As noted by OFSTED, leaders and teachers have high expectations and staff provide pupils with a high-quality environment that encourages learning and supports activities.

Visits are strongly advised to help you decide whether or not this is the school for you!   I look forward to meeting you and showing off our lovely school, our fabulous children and the stunning and extensive grounds the school is set in.

Previous Primary School experience essential.

We warmly welcome visits to the school. Please visit our website for more information about the school or contact the school office in order to arrange: office@barming.kent.sch.uk or ring 01622 726472.
