Lady Boswell’s C. E. (Aided) Primary School is a Church school. We are a caring and committed team, where the rights and responsibilities of pupils, staff and parents are valued. Our school is expanding, and we are looking to add to our loyal and long serving staff.

We are looking for a lively and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team.  Applications are welcomed from experienced Teaching Assistants.  A qualification in Early Years will be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be required to work 32.5 hours per week (8.30am – 3.30pm term time only).

The salary will be Kent Range 3, £15,253 - £16,967 full time equivalent (which equates to £11,048 - £12,290.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Be someone who enjoys working with children
  • Have relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ3 in Learning Support/ Level 3 Teaching Assistant, NNEB) or relevant experience
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of good Key Stage 1/2 practice
  • Be a good team player, flexible and prepared to use their initiative
  • Be committed to their own professional development
  • Be imaginative, creative, very energetic and interested in moving on children’s learning
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Have an interest in classroom display
  • Have regard to the Christian character of the School and its Foundation

Information about the school

Set on the edge of the beautiful Knole Park Estate in Sevenoaks, Lady Boswell’s Primary School has a strong sense of history, having been established in 1675. We are a Christian school which provides a safe and happy haven that allows every child to develop and learn in a kind and caring environment whilst achieving the highest academic standards.

Although established in 1675, our building is much newer, with the latest part completed around 2013.

We were assessed as Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2022, who stated within their report:
