The post holder will provide technical support, as directed by the network manager to support teaching and learning across the school of 650 students and 90 staff. . It will involve supporting a range of software, hardware and peripherals including interactive whiteboards. The post will involve working with young people, often in a classroom setting and the post holder will need Criminal Records Bureau clearance.

In September 2011, the school will become a Woodard Academy and there will be significant investment in the school’s IT infrastructure prior to that. The post holder will be a key part of this large scale development

Information about the school

Astor of Hever School is a small friendly co-educational high school with 610 students on roll. In July 2010 the School was judged to be Good with Outstanding features by OfSTED.

In 2010 students in KS 4 obtained 43% A-C including English and Mathematics compared to 28% in 2009. 47% of students were graded A-C in English. Overall 5 A*-C was 72%.

The school also has a large and successful Sixth Form with a 99.8% pass rate in 2010.
