Advert

Our long serving and highly respected Headteacher is retiring after 20 years, during which time she has created modern, happy and highly successful school, strongly supported by its staff, governors and parents.

We have recently been graded as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and we are looking for a person with strategic vision to lead the team at our popular church school and to build on our achievements. We believe first class teaching and monitoring in all subjects is essential to ensure our pupils meet the challenges of tomorrow with confidence and maturity.

Our school ethos encourages a caring environment where every child matters and is known by name. Our Christian values of respect, compassion and honesty are set at the heart of school life and we encourage children to see themselves as part of the wider community.

For more information about school life, please visit our website www.brookland.kent.sch.uk

Information about the school

Brookland Church Of England Primary School, has stood at the heart of the village since 1873 and celebrated 150 years in July 2023, growing from a handful of children to a school of 105 pupils.

Pupils describe it as 'an amazing school.' (OFSTED 2023). Personal development is exemplary.

The school is set in the beautiful village of Brookland and surrounded by the Romney Marsh, an area known for it’s natural beauty, rich history and diversity. With good road links we are within easy reach of Ashford, Rye, Tenterden and Hythe.

At Brookland Church of England Primary School we believe in the highest quality education for your child. Education that is focused on learning to learn, enjoyment and high expectations for all the children in our care.

We promote the highest standards of learning behaviour and believe that anyone who enters our school is a role model for how we should treat each other. Our children develop strong moral values rooted in our school’s Christian vision and this religious character is a very important dimension to our life and work at Brookland.

We have strong links with the church of St. Augustine’s in the village and the wider community.

The school was last inspected by OFSTED in February 2023 and judged to be good in all areas, with outstanding personal development.

The best way to understand Brookland as a school is to come and visit. I look forward to welcoming you to Brookland so that you can see for yourself our very special school.
