Vacancy Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher from September 2010, in our happy, family school. The vacancy is in Year 5 and we are looking for someone who is:
- dedicated to teaching
- positive in their outlook
- a skilful classroom practitioner
- generous in their care for the children
- a good team member
- keen to develop as a professional.

We can offer a school which is committed to improvement in a professional, supportive environment. Ofsted have recently described us as a school with 'a positive, inclusive ethos' and we work hard to create a community in which all are helped to succeed.

Applicants should ideally be Catholics, but a commitment to the school’s strong Christian ethos is even more important.

The post is open to NQTs and more experienced teachers. Please contact the school for further information and an application form, and to organise a visit.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to the appropriate CRB checks and references.

Information about the School

The school is a one-form entry Catholic primary school, with children drawn from all over Folkestone and Cheriton. The intake is truly ‘comprehensive’, representing the full range of social background and prior attainment. We are lucky enough to be set in beautiful surroundings, with our own playing fields, adventure playground and ‘picnic area’, in spite of being close to Folkestone town centre. We have a warm, welcoming ethos, a problem-solving approach, and high expectations.
