Vacancy Description
|
Hunton CE Primary School is a small church school set in the heart of the Kent countryside. The school was rated in 2011 by Ofsted as a ‘good school with many outstanding features’ and by SIAS as an ‘outstanding church school’. We are now seeking an excellent teaching professional to provide strong leadership, inspire our team of dedicated staff and our pupils, who deserve the very best that we can give them, and to continue to protect and enhance the reputation of this village school.
Hunton School has a nurturing, caring and inclusive Christian ethos which is valued by children, parents, staff and governors. The school values the whole child and being a small school is able to know and develop each child as an individual: academically, socially and emotionally.
Pupils at Hunton are happy, enthusiastic, articulate and confident learners who need a new Headteacher who will develop further their learning environment and the embedded curriculum. Hunton School is well resourced with four classrooms, having had a new classroom added in 2009. The school has grown in number and is now looking to extend the EYFS classroom to accommodate the increasing popularity of the school and ensure an ongoing high quality EYFS curriculum.
The school has good relationships with staff, parents and the wider community and recognises the importance of developing this further to continue to improve pupil progress and attainment in line with government targets, within a secure and creative learning environment.
We have recently set up the Maidstone Rural Anglican Church Schools Collaboration with three local rural schools and have embarked on a programme of professional development and cross-school pupil projects. Hunton Governors feel it is essential to support and develop this collaboration, which provides ongoing support for the Headteachers and management teams and will support a new Headteacher during induction.
Hunton has a pro-active and supportive Governing Body and a very enthusiastic and supportive PTA. The Governing Body is committed to supporting your continuing professional development and asks in return that you bring leadership and an energy that will encourage children to develop further their love of learning.
We welcome and encourage you to visit our school.
