LEAD PROFESSIONAL FOR SEN

Are you on the journey to Headship?

The GB are seeking to appoint an outstanding Lead Professional for Special Educational Needs with the vision and passion to work in partnership with the Leadership Group at our inclusive school. The successful applicant will aspire to Headship and will be highly motivated and committed to leading special educational needs. They will play a key role in shaping provision for these children and will help to raise standards of attainment for the most vulnerable pupils at the school.

You will have:

• High expectations of pupil achievement and be an outstanding classroom practitioner • Excellent interpersonal skills and the energy and enthusiasm to play a key role in the school • Full accreditation as a Special Needs Co-ordinator . Applicants who are already undertaking the accreditation are welcome to apply. • Successful experience in leading and managing other practitioners working with SEN pupils • A proven ability in working with Teachers, TA’s and HLTA’s to successfully raise standards of teaching and learning • Experience of working with Parents/Carers, extended services and other relevant key school partners • Experience as a SENCO in a large Primary School or extensive experience in a smaller school setting • Proven experience of working with a range of pupils with SEN, with particular experience of pupils with ASD

Cage Green Primary School is a small, happy primary school in north Tonbridge with 220 pupils from Reception to Year Six, including a resourced provision for children with autistic spectrum condition.
