Life Skills Enterprise is a specialist independent school supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and committed Cleaner to join our friendly team and help provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.

About the Role

Working under the direction of the Site Manager and Deputy Headteacher, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

Your duties will include:

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas.
  • Cleaning toilets, kitchens and staff facilities.
  • Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting.
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely.
  • Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet tissue.
  • Ensuring cleaning equipment is used and stored safely.
  • Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns.
  • Supporting with occasional deep cleaning during school holidays or as required.

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Life Skills Enterprise is a new specialist secondary school for pupils with autism as their primary diagnosis, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Life Skills Enterprise is the partnership school of Life Skills Manor. Both schools offer an holistic, therapeutic approach to education, providing a nurturing environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of its learners.

Our double-stranded curriculum integrates both academic and vocational pathways, enabling students to achieve meaningful qualifications alongside practical life and work-related skills. Therapies and targeted interventions are embedded throughout the school day, supporting emotional regulation, communication, and personal development.
