Midday Supervisor and Cleaner (Combined Role)
Salary Grade: EKC Grade 2
Contract: Permanent
Hours:
  • Midday Supervisor: 7.5 hours per week (1 hour 30 minutes daily, 38 weeks per year)
  • Cleaning: 12.5 hours per week (2.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday, term time plus 30 hours in summer holidays)
Daily Working Pattern:
  • 11:30am - 1:00pm (Midday Supervisor)
  • Before or after school - Hours to be discussed at interview (Cleaner)
Statutory training will be paid as overtime.
Minster Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and hardworking Midday Supervisor and Cleaner to join our committed team.

Midday Supervisor Duties
We believe lunchtimes should be a fun, safe and positive experience for our children. The successful candidate will:
  • Promote a positive and enjoyable lunchtime environment
  • Support children in socialising and play while upholding school values and behaviour expectations
  • Ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils
  • Work as part of a team to enhance children's lunchtime experience
Cleaning Duties
We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The successful candidate will:
  • Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and washrooms to a high standard
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness across the school site
  • Follow set routines and health and safety procedures
  • Work efficiently to complete allocated areas each day
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • Has high expectations of children's behaviour
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards
  • Respects confidentiality in a school setting
  • Has a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
  • Ideally has some cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
This is a physically demanding role, and applicants should take this into consideration.
