An Administration Assistant is required to join our friendly, hardworking, experienced team for 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 8.00am–4.00pm, Fri 8.00–3.30pm) term time plus 3 weeks during the school holiday periods.

You will be of smart appearance, professional in approach and enjoy variety in your work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as being methodical and well organised are essential. You will need to be committed to effective team working but also able to work unsupervised, meet set deadlines, be adaptable and have the ability to multi-task. You must understand the necessity for confidentiality in respect of information and uphold this principle at all times.

Candidates will need to evidence a good standard of education with good IT skills.  The use of Microsoft Word and Excel are an essential requirement, as is excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities and duties will be varied and will include assisting with monitoring and maintaining staff records, recruitment and general administration.

Information about the school

Foreland Fields School is a Day Special School for pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex Needs (PSCN), many of whom also have Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

We provide for 200+ pupils aged 3-19 in five pathways, Foundation Pathway, Explorers Pathway, Adventurers Pathway, Discoverers Pathway and Pioneers Pathway. Candidates are strongly encouraged to refer to the curriculum handbook (found on the school website) and the job description before completing their application.
