Information about the school

The Federation of Chislet Church of England Primary and Hoath Primary Schools are small rural schools situated in a picturesque setting, seven miles from Canterbury and four miles from the coastal town of Herne Bay.

The schools currently have four classes which, in total, at present accommodate 105 pupils.

Chislet Church of England Primary School is a friendly supportive school dedicated to providing a high standard of education for all pupils and fortunate to have caring and supporting parents and Governors as highlighted in our OFSTED report (November 2022). Chislet school was originally built in 1864 and has great resources and a magnificent team of staff who deploy a high standard of education to all pupils.

We are very proud of our strong links with the local Church and the surrounding area and our children, staff and families regularly have the opportunity to take part in Church services as well as supporting the local Christmas and Summer fayres.

We have the use of two Federation minibuses and encourage teachers to arrange class visits in order to widen the children's learning experiences. All the children have the opportunity to attend Forest School each year and in some cases Beach School.

All of these things and more are encapsulated by our Schools Christian Ethos,
'A journey of learning for all, within God's guiding hands'

Chislet Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people. We expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
