Information about the school

We are a thriving, one form entry school within an idyllic village setting with excellent road connections. The school has close links with St. Botolph’s Church, Chipstead village, and Chevening House. Our June 2025 OFSTED inspection was ungraded and confirmed that standards had been maintained since the last inspection. We had a very successful church SIAMs inspection in Nov 2025 and successfully achieved the NurtureUK accreditation in Autumn 2025.

Chevening children are enthusiastic and enjoy learning. The staff team is diligent and dedicated to providing the best education for the children.

Rooted in the parable of the Mustard Seed, Chevening’s vision is to be a place of nurture and growth for every child, our school family and the wider world.

At Chevening all can find shelter, strength and purpose through God’s love and Christ’s teachings. We seek to see everyone flourish spiritually, socially and academically. We will achieve this by being: ⋄ True to Christ and His teachings   ⋄ Known for kind and thoughtful actions and attitudes   ⋄ Inclusive in serving, sharing and showing God’s love to benefit all.

This Biblical Vision underpins our discussions, decisions and direction; our school values are well-established and alive in all we do. We are seeking individuals who can uphold this ethos.

If you want to know more about this opportunity we would love to hear from you!

Chevening (St Botolph's) CE (VA) Primary School is committed to equal opportunities and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, barring services check and satisfactory references.
