Are you looking for the right school to begin a new challenge?

St Peter’s Catholic Primary School is a one-form entry school and part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership Multi Academy Trust. We have been recognised as Outstanding, including by Section 48, reflecting the strength of our Catholic ethos and provision.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, resilient and highly inclusive teacher to join our team from September 2026. Applications are welcome from both ECTs and experienced teachers who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of children.

At St Peter’s, our community is rooted in the Christian values of faith, love and respect. Our children are well-behaved, enthusiastic and proud of their school, demonstrating strong moral values and a deep sense of community. We are looking for someone who is a true team player and who will contribute positively to our supportive and dedicated staff team.

The successful candidate will deliver an engaging, enriched and well-planned curriculum, fostering a love of learning, independence and self-belief. You will support children to think critically, grow in confidence and develop as lifelong learners.

This is a full-time role within a vibrant and forward-thinking school, where a calm and purposeful learning environment ensures every child is supported to succeed.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher
  • Have confidence in teaching across the primary age range
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be reflective, forward-thinking and committed to continuous improvement
  • Inspire, challenge and innovate in the classroom
  • Be a practising Catholic or willing to actively support the Catholic ethos of the school

If you are passionate about ensuring every child learns well and achieves their full potential, then St Peter’s could be the school for you.

We can offer:

  • A supportive and approachable Leadership Team
  • Polite, well-behaved and enthusiastic children
  • A friendly, dedicated and collaborative staff team
  • A strong commitment to your professional development
  • Supportive and engaged governors

Introduction Morning – Tuesday 5th May 2026

We are delighted to invite prospective candidates to our Introduction Morning on Tuesday 5th May 2026 starting at 9:15am. This is an opportunity to tour the school, meet staff children and experience St Peter’s during a normal school day. Spaces are limited; if demand is high, a second date may be offered.

To reserve a place, please contact the school office with: your name, current role and school, relevant experience and contact details.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.

St Peter’s Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Information about the school

St Peter’s is a one form entry Catholic primary school and part of the Kent Catholic Schools Partnership - a multi academy trust.

We are a happy and supportive staff team whose children demonstrate excellent learning behaviours; parents actively support the school and we have a committed and effective Local Governing Committee. We were rated Good with Outstanding features in February 2024 by Ofsted.

We have created a Christian Community in which the spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical and creative talents of all are nurtured. We enable our pupils to contribute to the society in which they live by being active participants, acquiring effective personal skills and qualities of good citizenship.

We are very proud of our school community; it is a friendly and vibrant place where everyone is valued. We aim to make sure that everyone who comes through our doors, for whatever purpose, experiences the warmth and love of Christ who is at the heart of all that we do. The unique worth of each child is celebrated and nurtured so that all our children are empowered to fulfil their potential whatever their gifts or talents.
