Job Description

LITERACY DEVELOPMENT & INTERVENTION OFFICER x 2 30 hours per week – 40 weeks per year

To work under the direction of the Assistant Head of School in charge of Inclusion.

The successful applicant will make a major contribution to raising standards in literacy by supporting learners to make good progress in English and other subjects. Competence in planning and delivering small group work and good organisational skills will be essential, alongside excellent literacy and numeracy (Level 2 qualification as minimum) and a supportive and motivational approach to young people.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and patient, with a good sense of humour.

The closing date for applications for both posts is 18th August 2013 and interviews will be held in the first week of September 2013.
