Herne Bay Infant School and Seashells Nursery are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, energetic, funny and caring reception teacher for our popular infant school for January 22.  This is a part time, temporary post until the end of this academic year, working Thursday and Friday’s.

Herne Bay Infants and Seashells Nursery is in the of the seaside town of Herne Bay, Kent.  The school is close to many amenities, including the beach and is the heart of the local community.  The local area boasts easy access to a variety of stunning beaches, historic Canterbury, and Whitstable.

This large thriving school is well established in the area and shares a site with Herne Bay Junior School, bounded by Kings Road and Stanley Road and enjoying a central position in the town.

The school is a 3 form entry with a nursery and there are currently 300 children on roll. There is a good staff/pupil ratio throughout the school ensuring an inclusive, creative, supportive and secure environment.

As a school committed to safeguarding children all staff members will undergo an enhanced DBS check and candidates will be assessed on their suitability to work with children. In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, checks include references, online searches and health clearance before employment.
