 School Administrator

(The post is term time plus 2 weeks. Hours are from 8.00am to 4.00pm, 37.5 hrs per week KR6)

Elham Church of England Primary School are seeking a new School Administrator to join us and be part of our school, with immediate effect. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to play a pivotal role in the school’s success and future development.

The successful applicant will need to have school office experience including finance, and be enthusiastic and hardworking. They will be ‘the face of the school’ and so will need to ensure a welcoming, professional reception to all children, parents, carers, staff and visitors. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

We are looking for someone who:

-is professional and well organised

-would be determined to make a difference to our school and our community

-is flexible, resilient and able to prioritise essential tasks

-has the ability to establish and manage a wide range of stakeholder relationships

-can ensure the effective day-to-day management, recording and monitoring of the school

-is able to lead and manage the office team and has a good sense of humour

 

Key aspects of the role would include:

-maintaining personnel records and payroll

-line managing the office team

-managing the day-to-day finance for the school, including orders and invoices

-working with the School Finance Officer to ensure that the school’s agreed budget is appropriate

Information about the school

Elham Church of England Primary School is a small, friendly school situated in the beautiful Elham Valley, nestled between the villages of Lyminge and Barham. We have lovely, enthusiastic, hardworking and high-achieving children who are an absolute pleasure to teach.

At present, the school has 121 children taught in 6 classes. Staff are friendly and welcoming and work as part of a close-knit, effective team...one happy family!

While results are significant, we pride ourselves on providing our children with exciting experiences- a curriculum of core knowledge, skills and understanding together with confidence in their mind, body and soul with well-being at its centre is what we are about.
