Ightham Primary School is seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting and enabling learning in the Primary School Environment. The post is term time only. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellence, flexibility and commitment in their work with the children. The following would be desirable but not essential: • Experience of working in either KS1 or KS2 with a good knowledge of phonics and the ability to lead phonics groups• Experience of working with pupils who have social communication difficulties • Experience of working with pupils 1:1 and small groups • Knowledge of and experience of working with ASD pupils • Flexibility to assist in the Wrap around care setting Visits to the School are encouraged. Ightham Primary School is situated in an idyllic rural setting and caters for up to 210 pupils accommodated in seven classes. We place the children, who are well behaved and motivated, at the heart of everything that we do. They benefit from many opportunities to take part in the excellent range of academic, physical and creative activities that we offer, both during and at the end of the school day.

We received an Ofsted inspection in March 2020 and the school was graded as outstanding in all areas.
