HR Administrator - Fixed Term for 12 months (with potential to become a permanent role)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the St Michael’s Prep team to help shape the transition of systems and processes, improving the effectiveness of the HR function and offering the staff an improved first-class support service.

Experience of working in a previous school setting would be advantageous but is not essential, however, strong HR administration skills are essential as the role will cover a broad range of HR administration including many aspects of recruitment, onboarding, induction, training, absence, changes to terms and conditions, leavers, work experience and liaison with activity providers and contractors. The successful applicant will work as part of the HR team and will also be involved in supporting our payroll and pensions administration processes.

We are implementing systems to streamline our recruitment and HR processes, therefore an opportunity to shape the way we work as a function is available. Previous experience in an HR role and excellent IT and communication skills are essential. This is a varied and busy role requiring the ability to work flexibly, prioritise your workload and be open to change; no two days are ever the same!

The role is initially for a 12 month fixed term period, however, there is the possibility it may become permanent depending on the continued demands of the team.

This is a busy team and we offer the opportunity to work in a varied role with the working pattern to be agreed between the successful applicant and the HR Manager; flexibility to support workload and interviews which start early or finish later would be required from time to time. Holidays are predominantly taken in school holiday periods.

We reserve the right to interview and / or appoint prior to the closing date.
