We are seeking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to join our wonderful KS2 team. In particular, we are looking for an enthusiastic, committed teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with SEN. The successful candidate will work within the classroom in lower KS2 as well as implementing specific programmes to support the children’s learning.

This is a term time temporary contract for the academic year in the first instance but there is a high probability that the post will continue if funding permits.

Information about the school

We are a one-form entry, rural school, yet only a ten-minute drive from Canterbury. Our Church of England school is situated in beautiful landscaped grounds within the Elham Valley and it has its own large playing field and garden areas. The original school was built in the Victorian period and is now a listed building.

Our school is extremely well resourced with a large hall, an ICT suite and Art room. We are proud to have our own swimming pool which is in regular use and means our children benefit from exciting sport events such as triathlons.

Barham is an active, dynamic school which offers its pupils an engaging curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We pride ourselves on having a great staff team, well-behaved children and supportive parents and governors.
