Information about the school

Fairlight Glen Independent Special School has historically provided an education for predominately, but not exclusively, to pupils within the care system. We are registered to accept young people from the ages of 8 to 18 but have chosen to focus on Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 in recent years. Many of our students have missed large periods of education and rely on gap analysis to help bring them up to speed. We believe that numeracy, literacy and PSHE are key to preparing all young people for adulthood but also have the freedom to build the rest of their curriculum around their interests, thus removing as many barriers to learning as possible.
