Do you have what it takes to make our woodland areas 'SHINE' with opportunity?

We are looking to appoint a creative outdoor enthusiast who genuinely believes that there is no such thing as bad weather and that getting muddy is essential to outdoor adventure!  Someone who understands the importance in building resilience in children and the key part that outdoor learning plays in that.

We are looking to appoint a HLTA Forest School Leader at Burham CE Primary School who will plan and deliver a forest school curriculum to the pupils of Burham CE Primary School on school site. We have an incredible woodland area, pond habitat and vast allotment area ready to be woken up and explored by pupils.

The role will include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering Woodland activities to classes across the school
  • Leading small group and 1:1 Forest School interventions
  • Providing PPA cover for classes

Ideally, the candidate would have Level 3 Forest School training but we are open to providing training to the right person.

Working hours would be between 8:30am and 3:30pm, 5 days a week during Term Time, 28.75 hours a week.

If you are interested please do contact the school for futher information, we look forward to hearing from you!

Information about the school

Burham Church of England Primary School is a small school set in beautiful countryside. We are a distinctive church school based within the Rochester Diocese.

Our vision is for all our children at Burham CEP School to ‘Shine’. We believe that all children should be given opportunities to ‘Shine’ and discover their true unique potential through rich, engaging new experiences that enable them to be successful, happy and independent. We were delighted with our recent SIAMS report (February 2024), which recognised the strengths of the school, referencing how pupils thrive academically within a supportive community.

At Burham Church of England Primary School we respect, value and include each and everybody. It is our aim to provide children with a safe, happy learning environment in which every member of the school community will thrive. Our aim is for children to build enriching relationships and become responsible, caring and successful citizens.

We are a caring and friendly team who are very supportive of each other. We have high expectations of ourselves as well as the children, as evidenced through our last Ofsted inspection.

We are very close to Bluebell Hill as well as connected to the Peters Village bridge between Wouldham and Halling. The school is within easy reach of both the M2 and M20 motorways and therefore easily accessible from the Medway or Maidstone area.
