Advert

We are looking to appoint an outdoor enthusiast who genuinely believes that there is no such thing as bad weather!  Someone who understands the importance in building resilience in children and the part that outdoor learning plays in that.  Someone who sees a muddy pair of trousers as an indicator of adventures, rather than another thing in the washing pile!

At Sussex Road Primary School, our Mission Statement is Challenge, Question, Explore.  This is the at the heart of our curriculum and ensures our children are exposed to learning experiences that build resilience and make memories.

Forest School has become an integral part of our curriculum over the past 10 years. Children from Yr R to 6 enhance their learning through being in the Forest and learning outdoors.  We recognise the considerable benefit outdoor learning has on a child's well-being and want to extend our provision to enable children to access Forest School sessions consistently throughout their time at Sussex Road Primary School.

Ideally, the candidate would have Level 3 Forest School training but we are open to providing training to the right person.  We have in place a Forest School Teaching Assistant who supports the learning in the forest and works under the guidance of the Forest School Leader.

Working hours would be between 8:30am and 4:00pm, 3 days a week during Term Time.  However, for the right candidate, we can be flexible with working days and hours.

If you are intrested please do contact the school for futher information, we look forward to hearing from you!
