Finberry Primary School have a vacancy for a part time Parent Support Advisor (3 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.)

The Parent Support Advisor is an integral member of our school and is seen as a ‘front of house’ position. The PSA works as part of the front office and in collaboration with other staff members. This is a position in which you can make a real difference to the lives of our children and families. We are looking for someone flexible, with a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to 'pitch-in', going above and beyond when necessary to support both our children and families as well as colleagues. 

The successful candidate will require relevant experience of working with families, including parents, pupils, professionals and agencies. It would be desirable to have knowledge of inter-agency provisions to support schools and families. The candidate should be able to work in a collaborative way, with the Head teacher and other school staff, to manage the diverse needs of pupils and families.

We are looking for a candidate who has exceptional inter-personal skills, communications skills and an understanding of the needs of children and young people. We need someone diligent, organised and efficient as it is essential that an effective record keeping system is maintained and accurate records are kept. Training will be provided to support where required. The successful candidate will also be open to supporting the wider Ashford hub.

The role is:

  • 22.5 hours per week (8.15am to 4.15pm with 30mins lunchbreak)
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. (Please note these days may be subject to change in the future based on the needs of the school)
  • Term time only working, plus 5 staff development days across the year
  • Pro-rata KR5/KR6 salary depending on experience - approximately £11,923 to 12,559 per year pro rata

Location: Ashford, Kent, UK - Finberry Primary School is a growing primary school - A large, purpose-built site in Finberry Village, the school has an on-site nursery for 2,3 and 4 year olds and also hosts a Specialist Resource Provision dedicated for children with a primary need type of Autism.
