We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join our friendly and forward-thinking school from 10th June 2024, however, there is flexibiity to the start date. This part-time, term-time only post is for 35 hours per week. Salary Kent Range 5. 

This a varied admin role, which includes- but is not limited to- reception duties, ordering school lunches, organising transports for school outings, uploading attendance onto SIMS and overseeing the after-school club provision. You will need to be highly organised, able to prioritise tasks capably, meet deadlines, have the ability to be flexible, use your initiative and have a positive and friendly outlook to our busy workplace. You need to have good working knowledge of Word and Excel and knowledge of SIMS would be a distinct advantage. Previous experience of working in a school office is desirable, though training is available to the right candidate.

As the first point of contact for our school community, it is essential that a good first impression is created. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to remain calm, efficient and courteous at all times. Due to the nature of the position, you will be expected to maintain the confidential nature of information relating to the school, its pupils, staff, parents and carers at all times. You will need to have a enjoy working with children and have the ability to care for and communicate with them effectively. A healthy sense of humour is essential!
