Required for September 2024, we are recruiting a Part-Time Teacher for two days (0.4) a week to work alongside one of our existing colleagues. The vacancy may be in KS1 or KS2.  

The vacancy is fixed term to July 2026 due to pupil numbers moving through the school.

Groombridge St. Thomas’ Church of England School is a happy school with positive, friendly, highly motivated and hardworking pupils and staff. We are situated just on the Kent/East Sussex border near Tunbridge Wells (the school is in East Sussex).

This is an exciting time for us as we have been working on developing a new curriculum and the person we appoint will join us on our journey to develop creative and inspiring learning for the children. Pupil's learning, well-being, and personal development are very important to us. Strong partnerships with parents, governors, and the local community exist to support us in doing this.  We currently have 146 pupils on roll, spread across six mixed-year classes. 

The successful candidate would demonstrate excellent professional skills, be able to work as part of a team and be involved in building on high expectations and standards. Responsibility for curriculum areas would be agreed.
