Advert

We are looking for an organised, positive and excellent full-time time class teacher, to join our school team from September 2024. We are flexible - the position may be in Ks1 or ks2.

Our classes are full of delightful children who are keen to learn, are well behaved and feel happy and supported by our amazing teachers.  We encourage teachers to take ownership of their own classroom, teach creatively and develop young learners. We feel passionate about delivering learning through an inspiring curriculum, building on our nurture based ethos, where enrichment is highly valued. All our classes have a full time teaching assistant to support the children, to meet their full potential.

We are a welcoming, happy, committed and hardworking team with a strong belief that well-being and happiness comes first.  We have built an ethos based on mutual respect, emotional regulation, happiness and pride.  Visitors to the school comment on the positive atmosphere, happiness of the children and friendliness of the staff.

Our recent OFSTED report (March 2023) commented, 'The school’s values of community, diversity and excellence are deeply rooted here. Leaders have built trusting and respectful relationships with every pupil. Pupils receive high-quality pastoral support. They feel happy and safe and are ready to learn.'

 We whole heartedly believe that:

"Every child is happy and excited about their learning because they have a strong community committed to supporting and celebrating their individual characters and achievements."

We can offer:

  • supportive, enthusiastic and friendly colleagues
  • happy, friendly pupils who want to learn
  • extensive school grounds, including our own forest school area
  • supportive governing body
  • coaching and mentoring for all teachers
  • high quality training and collaboration with local schools

At this school you will see...

  • A creative approach to teaching - we use up lots of glue sticks, paint, paper, sand and glitter!
  • We like to take learning outside...making the most of our forest school area and woodland
  • A clearly sequenced curriculum with support from a nearby school to develop this further
  • A team approach - no problem is too big or too small, we are in this together
  • Happy and keen children, we are proud of our keen learners and inquisitive minds and we genuinely know every child individually
  • A staff team who enjoy being at the school and who are welcoming, kind and all with their individual talents
  • Staff with an essential sense of humour
  • Treats in the staffroom (but not for long!)

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.

We reserve the right to interview candidates before the advert closes and will arrange interviews as applications are submitted.

We are situated near the Pantiles end of Tunbridge Wells and we are lucky to have a large site with lots of outdoor space such as a field, big playground, class outdoor areas and a courtyard. Currently, we have seven classes from Reception to Year 6 with around 150 and pupils on roll.

We are a happy, caring and supportive school, with high standards, committed and passionate in changing life opportunities for our children through an enriched and exciting curriculum. We are in contact with the local community and full participate in local events as well as fundraising for the chosen house charities.
