We are seeking a qualified Head of Vocational Studies who specialises in Business. The right candidate will be able to adapt to the different qualifications on offer within the department. Business Studies is one the most popular subjects at KS4 and the ideal candidate will be passionate about the subjects, inspiring our young people and be a valued leader of the vocational team. The vocational department also includes BTEC Health and Social Care, and the ideal candidate will lead the current teachers of Health and Social Care, responsible for raising attainment, data reviews, and quality of teaching and learning.

The post offers opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher looking for career advancement.

The successful candidate will be a creative and inspiring Teacher of Vocational Studies who:

  • Will raise achievement and deliver excellent academic outcomes
  • Can model excellence in the classroom
  • Has the training skills and experience to make a significant impact on the quality of teaching and learning
  • Can evaluate and improve their impact and effectiveness
  • Will have Qualified Teacher Status or QTLS
  • Will have the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4 confidently
  • Will possess recent, relevant teaching experience
