We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher/Inclusion Manager (and SENCo) for our large and busy primary school.  The role will include responsibilities of an Assistant Headteachers (whole school improvement) as well as leading provision for our most vulnerable pupils.

The Assistant Headteacher will have specific responsibility for:

  • Inclusion
  • Provision and outcomes for vulnerable pupils
  • Mental health of pupils and staff
  • Safeguarding

We work very collaboratively at Woodlands, so the Inclusion Manager will be part of the Senior Leadership Team (alongside the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteachers) and also the Inclusion Team, which consists of Assistant Headteacher (with responsibility for Relationships (Behaviour), Welfare, Pupil Premium, Attendance and DSL Deputy), our Assistant to the Inclusion Team and our Pastoral Support Officer (and Assistant DSL).

Information about the school

Woodlands Primary School was formed in September 2016 following the amalgamation of Woodlands Infant and Woodlands Junior Schools. We are a successful and happy school in North Tonbridge. Currently we have approximately 600 pupils on roll, organised into three classes per year group across three buildings: Saplings (EYFS), Acorn (KS1) and Oak (KS2). Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff work strongly together to provide exciting learning experiences for the children both inside and outside the classroom.
