Join Our Visionary Team as a Head of School in a Leading Multi-Academy Trust 

Are you an inspirational leader ready to make a lasting impact in education?  We invite passionate and dedicated educators to apply for the prestigious position of Head of School within The Stour Academy Trust.  Working closely with the Executive Headteacher and our team of School Improvement Partners, you will not only lead the school but will be part of a Trust Heads’ Strategic Team. We are proud of the eight schools within our Trust family, and the successful candidate will ensure that every pupil receives the very best provision for their pupils, families and staff. This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced Deputy Head Teacher or existing Head of School. This position would ideally commence in September 2024. As Head of School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our academies, driving educational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.  This is a unique opportunity to lead and inspire a team of dedicated educators, working collaboratively to create an environment where every student can thrive.   

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Visionary Leadership: Develop and communicate a compelling vision for the schools aligned with the Trust’s values and ethos. 
  2. Educational excellence: Drive high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
  3. Collaborative engagement: Foster positive relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider community, promoting a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
  4. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trust’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with educational priorities.
  5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Championing innovative teaching methods and practices, driving a culture of continuous improvement across our schools. 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status and proven leadership experience, 
  • Strong understanding of the UK education system, curriculum and assessment,
  • Demonstrated success in school improvement and raising standards, 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Location: Ashford, Kent, UK - Finberry Primary School is a growing primary school - A large, purpose-built site in Finberry Village, the school has an on-site nursery for 2,3 and 4 year olds and also hosts a Specialist Resource Provision dedicated for children with a primary need type of Autism.
