Hugh Christie School

Full Time Teacher of Music and Drama

Hugh Christie is a mixed wide ability 11 to 18 high school based in Tonbridge, Kent. We will shortly be joining the Leigh Academies Trust, which is one of the country’s largest and most-established multi-academy trusts operating across Kent, Medway and South East London. It contains primary, secondary and special academies and is highly inclusive and successful.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to take on a new Music and Drama Teacher who loves their subject, is eager to engage in research and believes that every student should be given the best chance to succeed. We are looking for a teacher who will bring their own dynamism and positive attitude and become a trusted and valued team member.

The successful candidate will be, or aspire to be, an excellent classroom practitioner.  We are looking for a teacher who is excited by teaching Music in KS3, Drama in KS4 and looking for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students, both in the classroom and as part of the school community.  We are also keen to expand Drama into KS5.

We welcome applications from both ECT’s and experienced teachers.

Please contact Mrs N Riddle for an application form on 01732 353544 ext 242 or nriddle@tonbridgefederation.co.uk. Further information is available on the school’s website: www.hughchristie.kent.sch.uk

Closing date: Friday 29th March 2024 - Interviews will take place as soon as applications are received so the vacancy may close sooner if we appoint the ideal candidate.

Start date: After Easter
