KENT RANGE 4 £21389 to £22493 Full Time Equivalent (Salary will be pro-rata) Pending KCC pay review April 2024

HOURS - 37 hours per week

TERM TIME plus 5 development days (39 working weeks per year)

 

Northfleet Nursery School are seeking to appoint a candidate of exceptional ability to join the school office. We are a unique nursery, being the only maintained stand-alone nursery school in Kent, and also proud to be awarded Outstanding by Ofsted on 5 consecutive occassions.

You will be the first point of contact for all customer enquiries and reception. You will support the Office Manager in general finance and administrative tasks.  You will be competent and confident in all areas of ICT and be able to compile Google & Jot forms, alongside managing the school social media platforms and producing newsletters and communications to parents. The successful candidate will be able to offer basic ICT support to staff and Governors if required.

You will work pro-actively to maintain high standards of attendance and will use SIMS to manage the school registers daily. 

We are particularly looking for a person who:

  • has excellent ICT skills. Word, Excel, E-mail, Internet
  • has high levels of professionalism and can maintain confidentiality
  • can work under pressure
  • can meet deadlines
  • can prioritise their own work load and be self-managing
  • has previous experience of working in a school environment; preferably having experience of SIMS and/or FMS6
  • has a minimum Grade C/ Grade 4 GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • must be motivated and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Information about the school

Northfleet Nursery School has been graded Outstanding 5 consecutive times and is the only stand–alone maintained Nursery School funded by Kent County Council. We have a school PAN of 93 and take admissions from the local community in Northfleet and the surrounding area. The nursery uses the High/Scope approach which actively involves the children in exploring and learning about things that are important to children in the early years.
